Nasceu em Heemstede na Holanda em 1947. Formou-se em direção de teatro em Amsterdam e interessou-se por fotografia realizando cursos em Paris com Izis e Philippe Salaün. Posteriormente estudou com Harm Botman na Holanda. Desenvolveu sua extensa carreira internacional expondo em países como França, Hungria, Coreia do Sul, Estados Unidos, Turquia e Itália. Além da carreira artística é professor na Gerrit Rietveld Academy em Amsterdam.
Born 1947 in Heemstede, The Netherlands. Studied theatre-directing in Amsterdam and became interested in photography. Started studying in Paris with Izis and Philippe Salaün. Later studied with Harm Botman in The Netherlands. Developed his consistent international career showing his work in several countries like France, Hungary, South Corea, United States, Turkey and Italy. Leo Divendal teaches photography at Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam.
Leo Divendal est né en 1947 à Heemstede, aux Pays-Bas. Après avoir fait des études de mise en scène à Amsterdam, il s’est interessé à la photographie. Il poursuivit des études à Paris avec Izis et Philippe Salaün. Plus tard, il continua avec Harm Botman aux Pays-Bas. Son travail a été exposé dans plusieurs pays tels que la France, la Hongrie, la Corée du Sud, les Etats-Unis, La Turquie et l’Italie.
